New Year, New DRŌM!

Jan 15, 2020 | DRŌM Practice

While working towards your resolutions for the new year, remember to make time to rest, recharge and avoid burning out.

As I get older, I’m becoming more mindful of the way I want to feel in my daily life. I want to build more meaningful relationships and experiences and deeper connections with myself and others.

Having that connection with myself means exploring the depths of my own emotions, knowing who I am, and finding ways to ease personal growing pains. Identifying the things that make me tick and understanding every step of my personal growth has allowed me to focus on myself.

It’s not simple. Personal growth takes hard work, time and dedication.

The best way to begin making changes, setting goals, and being more mindful is to set your intentions. That’s what’s so magical about starting a new year. It’s like we are permitting ourselves to begin again, accepting new beginnings and feeling a sense of renewal.

With that said, I’d like to share my intention for 2020 with you.

My intention is to make a difference, and share my passion and love of the DROM Practice! Additionally, I will create powerful, inspirational and unforgettable opportunities and experiences. I will strive to help people combat stress, increase resiliency and personal power and learn to live in the moment.

Let’s be honest – there is a bit of overwhelming doubt that comes with the start of a new year, which is why I suggest taking it in stride. Baby steps are essential. One small change at a time. No one can get to the top of the mountain in one giant leap. It takes putting one foot in front of the other. It might take leaning on a friend, overcoming obstacles and stopping for breaks along the way.

Each step of the way, notice how it makes you feel. Remember to take time to breathe, move your body and get out of your head. Whether it’s big goals or small goals you set for yourself, bring an element of movement and mindfulness into your life. And most importantly, don’t forget the journey, because friend, that is the most amazing part!

New Year, New DROM

The DROM Practice was born out of the steps I have taken on my journey. It is all of the tools that kept me healthy, and that allowed me to keep going. Above all, it’s a fun and easy way to combat stress and refocus the mind.
